See you again

Today I have really been thinking about life. A wonderful beautiful woman of God died yesterday. She happened to be my best friends grandma. She was soo loving. I knew her for the last 7 years or so and she treated me like a granddaughter =) I would go over almost every weekend and we would all talk and hang out. She would go out back and smoke and we would hang with her there and talk. One time Leah and I were making a bonfire and she got after us for playing with lighter fluid lol =)
However the last thing that she ever said to me was right before my 16th birthday and she told me that I have turned into a beautiful young woman. We all love her and she will be greatly missed!! See you in heaven mam :)

Now I lay me down to sleep

Lord, Bless everyone in this word, God help them to come to know you!

The future

Jeremiah 29:11

New International Version (NIV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

So are you like me and need to figure out what the heck you are doing with your future but have no clue where to start??? This verse is perfect for you then. It is telling us that God has a complete plan for our lives and not to worry ourselves with the future. We need to live here in the present not in the past or the future.
Now I don't mean to not look into the future and think and pray about the plans but don't stress yourself out about it. I am writing to myself about that as well because I tend to stress over little things. We ( I ) have to give it all up to God through prayer.
Like many I am college hunting and have till March if I want to get into school this year. Well I am still not sure what school I want to go to, how I am gonna pay for it, how I am gonna get there ( i don't have a car ), or completely set on a major. There are lots of things that you have to consider and that is where it can be stress filled! But step back take a deep breath and let God do his magic!

Even Us.

Even people that are young get into arguments. I learned that today with Chris. We have been having trust issues for a few weeks now and it finally blew up today. You are naive if you think that you and yours wont be in a fight eventually. The keey however is to communicate with them. Dont let it bottle up and then explode. You will be much happier in the end if everything is in the open. Dont ever be afraid to speak your mind and your problems. If your man (or lady) really loves you than he will appreciate that and work on resolving that issue with you as a team. Encourage him as well to express his issues and be sensitive to them and treat him like you would want him to treat you (golden rule!). You will earn more respect for him and will feel like you can talk about anything with him! And usually (atleast in my experiance) you will be much closer after those issues are resolved! =D

Here in America we take for granted our freedom of religion. As we celebebrate Christmas today and exchange gifts and be with family there are people who are dying because of their faith or dying without faith at all. There are countries in this world that have to hide the fact that they are celebrating Christmas. Just consider that as you wrap up all of your festivities tonight!!

Let it snow

Today is Christmas and we just finished opening presents from my parents,I got a university snuggie great from when I got to college this year! I also got a sock monkey hat pretty fantastic!! Chris and I are getting ready to go to his families house for yet more presents. Can't wait!!

love is the best present

Christmas time is here again
I wish you only knew,
How special Christmas is this year
Because I am with you. This year I don't need any gifts
Beneath the Christmas tree
The only thing I'll ever want
Is you to be with me, I put you on my Christmas list
And mailed it like a kid
But if Santa didn't bring you here
An angel surely did, You're my favorite gift of all
You've filled my heart with cheer
I hope that I can be with you
On Christmas every year

best friends

I know it seems like i am writing a lot but i love to write and right now i have so much on my mind that i just wanna get out =D so Leah since you are the only one reading these right now i dont mind lol ;)
So i saw where you wrote 5 things that you love about Matt for your 5month anniversary so i decided to steal that idea and do one about you. We have been besties for roughly 6 years now so i shall write 6 things that i adore about you!
1. No matter what mood I am in you always know what to say to make me feel better
2. You never let me look down on myself without annoying the crap outta me to the point where i just give in ;)
3. You have been there for me through the most trying times especially this summer!
4. You are an incredibly strong and confident christian woman and i strive to be like you!
5. You are a gorgeous person on the inside and out!
6. YOU ARE THE BEST FRIEND THAT A GIRL CAN ASK FOR!! <3
I love you soooo much babe!

Maid of honor!

My best friend recently go engaged and I am the unofficial official maid of honor. Although I love weddings and know somethings from being a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding recently that wasn't a typical wedding that you plan lots for so I did some research and realized how unprepared that I actually was. Maybe you are in the same boat that I am so I will try my hardest to help with what I learn as the planning time goes on. Here is a basic list of some responsibilities that one will go through;
  • Coordinate with the bridesmaids. This could include keeping them informed about fittings, pre-wedding parties, or anything else they need to know.
  • Host a shower with the help of the bridesmaids. This includes planning, setting up, and splitting the costs.
  • Host, plan, and set up the bachelorette party with the help of the bridesmaids.
  • Pay for your wedding day attire. This includes your dress, jewelry, and shoes. The bridal party is responsible for purchasing their own attire; occasionally a very generous and thoughtful bride will purchase these items for you, but don’t bet the farm on it.
  • Help the bride shop for wedding dresses, or at least offer.
  • Keep the groom’s ring during the wedding ceremony.
  • Arrange the bride’s train at appropriate point in ceremony, if needed.
  • Hold the bride’s bouquet during the ceremony vows. (Be sure to give it back before she trots back up the aisle!)
  • Arrange the receiving line after the ceremony, if applicable.
  • Sign the marriage license if needed.
  • Toast the bride and groom if given an opportunity-this could be at the rehearsal dinner or at the wedding reception.
  • Help where needed at reception; make sure bride has a chance to eat and drink something.
  • Dance in the wedding party dance if applicable.
Now there will be much more involved in each topic, but this is just a very broad view of the duties

No ring, lots of plans

I am one of those girls that has planned her wedding for years, thus i have many plans and ideas that i hope will one day be reality. The first thing that i would like to accomplish is to have a wonderful ring on my finger ;) lol
I would like my wedding to be outside. I have a very vintage-boho style that from pictures that i have seen turns into a beautiful style wedding! i will post some pictures via the wonderful site of pintrest! so i do not own any of these

the beginning of us.

I decided that i would tell you about how my wonderful boyfriend and i came to be together. It was about 2 years ago when i met him, he had just started to go to my church. My best friend Leah had introduced herself to him and they had been talking for a few weeks or so. Well she didn't have a phone at the time so she borrowed mine to talk to him one weekend when I went to Mammoth cave with her and her family. She fell asleep on the way home so I took my phone back and talked to him. My previous "boyfriend" and I had been together for a month but he was at basic training so i was bored and lonely so thought nothing of it.
Well we talked for a few weeks and he actually wanted me to try and get him with Leah. She had a guy that she liked so she didn't want to go out with him, but that didn't stop me from trying to help him. During that process my "boyfriend" and I had broken up and Chris was being such a sweet heart trying to help me get over him due to the fact that he was my first.
After awhile he finally excepted that he wasn't gonna get Leah. We were texting and he had said that no one would ever be his girlfriend, well being nice I said that if he were to ask me I would, so he just flat out said,"will you be my girlfriend". I obviously said yes ;). Our first "date" was to coney island, which wasn't a good idea. Leah and i were there and she wasn't happy that i asked him to come with us, to the point where she didn't talk to me for 8 months straight. I also got grounded for a month because he wasn't supposed to be there. He actually broke up with me until i was able to tell him what had happened. But we worked that out and now though there have been some bumps in the road some bigger than others, we have been together for 2 years and maybe be engaged this coming year! ;)

young love

You are so dear
I just want you near
let's leave the crowd
shout it aloud!
We are as one
God's work is done
our lives will be
roses and wine
now you're mine.

We two are in love
and we fit like a glove
ne'er to forget
the hour we first met
I love you so
my heart is aglow
we will be on cloud nine
now you're mine.

Come has the day
for a wedding in May
bells they will chime
oh happy springtime
a romance for two
at last has come true
our young hearts will entwine
now you're mine.

This is first love
and it is young love
and we'll fly to the moon
I'll look divine
my will shine
and our lives will be
roses and wine
because you are mine.
